This is partly economical and partly philosophical question. I am 31 - should I spend more or should I focus on building wealth?

Definitely allocate more money to wealth building. You energy will pike at 40s, after that it would be harder increasing your income (harder to get promotions, harder to be successful in your business, etc.).
So while you have this energy focus on building your wealth!

Try dividend investing - with this strategy you will get something to spend and at the same time grow the "core" wealth
